This is more for the people in my Sacramento area.


So I love to swing dance and I want to spread the wealth.

July 31st, Friday night, everyone should go. It's tons of fun.

At 8:00 there's a lesson, where they'll teach you the basics and some not-so-basics, the music will start at 9 and go till 12.

Admission is $7 that night cuz it's a DJ. He's going to play strictly swing music till the last few minutes.

And for those of you thinking "it'd be fun, but I don't have a partner..." That's bull! You don't need one. There are a ton of people you know invited and this is a great opportunity to meet new people.

You should bring comfy shoes (or ones you can kick off) and your own water, it's a dollar a bottle there.

I think that's everything... Oh! apparel. It's casual, people do dress up, I wear a particular spinny dress that I like (makes it all the more fun).

And try to carpool, it is downtown, so parking's hell. Or you can take the lightrail... if you have hobo repellent... or if you're just into that sort of thing...
